Double Encryption Tool (Two Passwords)

Lock text with two separate passwords. Both are needed to open it.

AES-256 encryption
No data ever stored
Works offline once loaded
πŸ‘‹ New here? Type your message β†’ set a password β†’ press Encrypt. That's it β€” decrypting works the same way in reverse.
Your message ?Type or paste the message you want to lock with a password.
You can also drag & drop a .txt file here 0 / 20,000 characters
Scan a QR code ?Point your camera at a QR code someone sent you, or upload a screenshot/photo of one β€” the encrypted text will be read straight into the box above.

Camera access needs your permission, and works best on https:// pages.

Password ?Anyone who wants to unlock this text will need this exact password.

Password strength: β€”
Cipher: AES-256-GCM (authenticated) Β· Key derived with PBKDF2-SHA256 (60,000 iterations) using your browser's native encryption engine β€” fast, and far stronger against brute-force than a single hashing round. ?This is a real security upgrade, not just a label: deriving the encryption key takes real computational work, which makes large-scale password-guessing attacks dramatically slower.
Second password
Both passwords will be needed to unlock this message. Store them separately for maximum security.
Self-destruct ?After this time, the message can no longer be decrypted β€” even with the right password.
Password hint (optional) ?Shown to anyone with the encrypted text, before they enter a password. Never put the password itself here.
Overall protection: Basic Set a stronger password to improve this score.

Leave empty and we'll auto-generate a suitable image. PNG output only β€” JPEG, WhatsApp, and other apps that recompress images will destroy the hidden data, so share the downloaded PNG file directly.

About this generator

Double encryption wraps your message in a second layer of AES-256 with its own password. The result can only be opened with both passwords, which is useful when two people should have to cooperate, or when you want a second factor in a separate place. The second layer is already switched on in the advanced options.

How to use this tool

  1. 1

    Enter both passwords

Type the message, the first password and the second password.

  2. 2

    Encrypt

The message is encrypted twice, once with each password.

  3. 3

    Decrypt in two steps

The reader needs both passwords to see the original message.

Frequently asked questions

Is double encryption stronger?
It adds a second password that has to be known. With two strong, separate passwords an attacker would need to guess both.
Who should hold which password?
Give each password to a different person or keep them in different places.
Can I use one password only?
Yes. Turn the second layer off in the advanced options.
